FREE Food Safety Informational Workshop
Location: Monterey County Ag Center, 1428 Abbott Street, Salinas WHY ATTEND?
State and federal leaders and resource agencies are concerned voluntary food safety guidelines have forced landowners and growers to choose between compliance with the voluntary "metrics" and/or shipper and buyer requirements and compliance with environmental regulations (i.e. Conditional Ag Waiver, California Environmental Quality Act - CEQA, the Endangered Species Act, etc.).

Landowners, the agricultural industry, leafy greens buyer community and resource agencies have the opportunity to learn more about the food safety corrective actions that can have perhaps the most significant impact on our State's natural resources, including water quality, habitat and wildlife: clearing and/or removal of riparian vegetation*, construction of fences and wildlife depredation.
