The workshops will be focused on Total Nitrogen Applied reporting. Growers and technical assistance providers with Tier 2 and Tier 3 ranches growing high risk crops who are new to the requirement are encouraged to attend. Growers and technical assistance providers who have previous experience with the requirement and growers with lower tier or low risk crops are also welcome to attend. Remember that the Total Nitrogen Applied reporting requirement only applies to Tier 2 and Tier 3 ranches growing high risk crops. The list of high risk crops is: beet, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, Chinese cabbage (Napa), collard, endive, kale, leek, lettuce (leaf and head), mustard, onion (dry and green), spinach, strawberry, pepper (fruiting), and parsley. If you grow any of the above crops on a Tier 2 or Tier 3 ranch during 2017, then you are required to submit a Total Nitrogen Applied report for all crops grown on that ranch by March 1, 2018.
